Gitlab (GTLB): Potential Sale and Investment Analysis

Interesting news of a potential sale.

If the stock reaches $65, it would be more than a 30% return for me and I would consider selling.

Initially recommended in March in the mid 50’s, added more on the dip in the mid 40’s, I bought it for the following reasons:

Dev-Sec-Ops was the new standard because security and compliance are equally important utilities and must-haves. Gitlab is doing a lot of security work within the Dev-Ops platform and has a competitive advantage there. This could be a good candidate for a sale, biggest competitor GitHub is owned by Microsoft. With AI, and more software development needed this should see at least 26-28% revenue growth.

Adjusted operating Profits and cash generation is still a year out and will curtail the multiples/stock price at higher levels. Google Cloud is now one of GitLab’s most important resellers and owns about 6% of its stock.
